These steaks are a boneless cuts from the rib/loin section. The meat is tender, especially when slow cooked in tomatoes or broth, but may also be prepared as you would a thick steak.
As always with Berkshire Organics' selection of meat, it is from local pastured 100% grass-fed cattle, free of antibiotics and hormones. The nutrition is there right along with the wonderful flavor.
Hager's Farm is a 7th generation family farm, raising grass-fed beef and pork, and farm-raised chicken, as well as maple syrup, fresh produce and popcorn. Their grass-fed beef comes from their herd of Hereford cattle grazed on our green pastures in Shelburne Falls, Mass. They do not use growth hormones and make their animal health and comfort a top priority.
