Ginger Honey Lemon Tea Combo Pack


A Kit To Make Your Own Tonic

Make your own tonic with these simple, yet very powerful, ingredients.

Approximate ratios to use:
  • 1/8Lb ginger (half of what we include in your kit.)
  • 3 Lemons
  • 2-3 heaping spoonfuls of honey (or to taste). This local raw honey is great for you, particularly this time of year, because it is full of nutrients.
  • 1-2 quarts of water (or more to taste)
  • Optional: add a piece of turmeric about 1/2 the size of ginger.
Sip it as hot as you can tolerate, refill as often as you like.  We hope you love this warming mix.  Let us know!

Instructions and Details:
All you need to do is slice the ginger and lemons into chunks (any size) and add directly to a pot, jar, or container of choice.  No need to peel. Heat to a boil or add hot water and allow the ingredients to steep a few minutes.  No straining needed.  Prior to drinking, add honey liberally or to taste. 

The heat and the honey are nurturing to the throat and the ginger is packed with immune boosting nutrients to reverse the taxing effects of seasonal allergies and illness.  The oils from the lemon peel are also great to consume.  (Remove the sticker label from the lemon and rinse before cutting.)

The longer it steeps the stronger the ginger gets.  Too strong?  No worries, add more water to dilute. 
There isn't anything exact with this recipe, which is why we like it so much.  You can continue to add water, squeeze in more lemon, add more honey as the day goes on.  We generally will steep up to five times depending on how much ginger and lemon we put in the water.
