A rotating variety of seasonal soups made in the Berkshires.  Stock your freezer for the rainy days.


THE BERKSHIRES are recognized as a vibrant farm-to-table community. In keeping with that distinction, we source most ingredients directly from local farms. We celebrate and support local food and farms in the Berkshires. Our mission is to protect and sustain the health and wholeness of people, food and land. Each soup you purchase helps foster this vision.

Soups will change frequently throughout the seasons and year.  Many soups are listed below, not all are available all the time.

Chickpea Stew: chickpeas, onions, butternut squash, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, roasted red peppers, cauliflower, olive oil, garlic, GF tamari, oregano, paprika, salt, bay leaves.

Farmhouse Lentil (V): Organic French green lentils, water, onions, carrots, butternut squash, celery, tomatoes, spinach, GF tamari, garlic, salt, cumin, bay leaves. 

Parsnip Pear (V, GF): Parsnips, potatoes, pears, water, onions, olive oil, ginger root, salt, nutmeg.  

Broccoli Cheddar (Vegetarian, GF): Potatoes, broccoli, carrots, onions, garlic, cheddar cheese, milk, cream, salt. 

MOROCCAN VEGETABLE WITH COUSCOUS + HARISSA

This will transport you to the spice trade markets of the Middle East, with the bold spices of harissa - cumin, coriander, cinnamon, allspice, chill and caraway -suffusing butternut squash, carrots, cauliflower, tomato, chick pea and couscous with its warmth and vibrancy.  Enjoy as is or try it with some fish. Poach some halibut or cod right in the soup as you heat it on the stove.  Soup for a happy heart.

TUSCAN MINESTRONE (Vegan & GF)
In this warming soup, fennel bulb serves as a point counterpoint to the classic melange of white beans, carrots, string beans, cabbage, onions and tomato.  Aromatic with fresh basil and bay, a meal in itself with some crusty bread and shards of Parmesan or serve over a bowl of pasta.  Soup to come home to yourself.

Black Bean with Smoked Roasted Chiles (Vegan & GF)
This luscious soup has a smoky quality and complexity from a variety of smoked and roasted chili peppers, oregano and orange zest and lime juice. The elegant black beans are pureed with tomato, onion, garlic which makes it very digestible. Serve with a dollop of yogurt and some avocado if you wish.  Soup to see the world fresh and new.


Curried Cauliflower Soup with turmeric and coconut milk (Vegan & GF)
Ingredients: cauliflower, potatoes, carrots, onion, fennel, coconut milk, ginger root, garlic, olive oil, turmeric, curry, salt.

POTATO LEEK AND ARUGULA SOUP  (Contains DAIRY)   
Here, brand new baby red thin-skinned potatoes combine with sautéed onions, leeks, and a generous handful of the sweet scented roasted garlic.  Simmered in rich chicken stock, then puréed with a last minute addition of arugula greens and a touch of sweet cream to soothe you.  Soup to keep us safe and sound. 

Ingredients: potatoes, arugula, onions, leeks, chicken broth, cream, fennel, chives, garlic, olive oil, salt, cracked black pepper.


BLACK LENTIL vegan gf

The cream of the crop, black beluga lentils, is aptly named for their kinship with the prized ova not only for its supreme quality but for its glistening sheen  We’ve kept it simple to savor the delicate morsels adding just caramelized onions, tomato, parsley, garlic, and mild Indian spices ( cumin, coriander, cardamom). Enjoy as is or cloaked with melted Swiss cheese alongside a spinach salad for an elegant lunch.  Or add some spinach to the soup and serve with a heaping platter of local grilled mixed sausages.  Soup to live with ease and elegance.

Ingredients: organic black Beluga lentils, onions, carrots, tomatoes, celery, kale, garlic, salt, tamari, herbs & spices.

RED LENTIL WITH CORIANDER + COCONUT MILK vegan gf
Similar to our version of Mulligatawny, this is a nourishing  dal of red lentils, carrots, cauliflower, sweet potato and parsnip enlivened with cumin, coriander, just a touch of  red chili paste and coconut milk.  Warming of the soul soup.


Ingredients: organic red lentils, onions, carrots, fennel, sweet potato, cauliflower, coconut milk, ginger, olive oil, tamari (soybeans), chili paste, salt, coriander, garam masala, garlic.
