And Berkshire Organics, a relatively new delivery service based in Dalton, MA has proven a boon to my efforts to expand what can easily become boring menu of the same old salads and steamed green beans night after night. For a weekly fee, Berkshire Organics delivers to my front door a basket full of fresh, organic produce, much of it grown right here in our region. I'm happy to put my "shopping list," so to speak, in their hands; otherwise I probably wouldn't have forced myself to find so many ways to incorporate winter squashes, bok choy, beets and watercress- things I never would have bought on my own- into my diet. It's an incredibly convenient service that actually works out to be cheaper than doing one's own shopping.
